Why Astrology?

People have been using astrology to guide their love lives for thousands of years. Astrology is a great way of discovering more about yourself and the people in your life, and we believe that instead of beginning that process after you've already met someone, you should have the opportunity to discover your cosmic compatibility right from the start.

What is my Constellation?

Your "home" on Align is your Constellation. Every day, you receive a new constellation of potential matches with yourself at the center (because, duh, you're the center of your own universe). Your Constellation refreshes each day at midnight.  On Align, you have 24 hours to decide if you want to Align with your matches. If you're not interested, simply wait until the constellation refreshes.

WHAT DO THE SIZE OF THE CIRCLES MEAN?

Size matters. Well, at least it does in your Constellation. The larger the star, the more astrologically compatible you are with your match.

WHAT DO THE PROFILE COLORS MEAN?

Align profiles can be one of four colors: red, blue, green, and yellow. Each color corresponds to the astrological element have that user. Use the cheat sheet below to help you understand your fellow Align users more.

YELLOW - Air Signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius): Analyzers, Intellectuals, Idealistic, Thinkers, Problem solvers

GREEN - Earth Signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn): Driven, Goal-oriented, Practical, Dependable

RED - Fires Signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius): Charismatic, Passionate, Natural leaders, Outgoing

BLUE - Water Signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces): Intuitive, Deep feelers, Helpers, Artists

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO "ALIGN?"

Aligning with someone means that both users have liked each other. You mutually approved of the match, and now you can chat. Everyone you've Aligned with shows up in your Connections screen.

WHAT ARE THE TRAITS ABOUT? WHY ARE THERE EMOJIS?

How do you describe yourself? Align has curated a list of sign-specific traits (adjectives and emojis) that you select to build your Align bio. After all, you're more than just a pretty selfie.
