Co-founders Aliza Kelly Faragher and Helen Grossman said they got the idea to create Align after being very dissatisfied with other dating apps and constantly trying to decipher what sign their dates were.
"We thought, 'What if there was a way that before you went on a date with a person that you were able to gauge how you'd get along?' And that's something that we wanted to explore a little more," Faragher told the Daily News. "We also realized that everyone around is talking about astrology and that it was a huge cultural movement."
